How the tracker is maintained

Each record is tied to a public official source. Our source-check system can flag potential changes for review and a separate scheduled GOV.UK Search process creates an internal editorial queue of relevant official publications. Neither process automatically rewrites or publishes new eligibility criteria. Where source websites block automated access, a human must verify a change rather than treating a failed request as a change.

An internal search discovery queue is not the same thing as a confirmed change: an editor must read each original publication, reconcile dates and exceptions, and approve any public record. We separate announcements from effective changes and retain caveats. Read our source verification method, or use the free structured snapshot for research. This feed is an independently assembled snapshot, not an official MOD live API.
