A practical, independent preparation toolkit

Free military preparation
tools that actually work.

Learn, calculate and explore. Practise reasoning, interpret test results, understand running splits and investigate official recruitment data—entirely free, with original functionality rather than another downloadable PDF.

Original, source-conscious and browser-based

Choose your next practical step.

No email gate, no paid upgrade required, no misleading "chance of selection" score. Choose what you genuinely need to practise or understand.

New: Build a military aptitude revision timetable ↗ or practise AOSB communication with 20 original prompts ↗. Both work in-browser, without recording voices or sending applicant answers.
Also free: Create a personal preparation action board ↗ for your chosen route. It is free, browser-only and requires no registration.
Research: Explore the Military Recruitment Intelligence Library ↗ for the 2000–2023 official historical annual-mean series, separate 2017–2026 July strength snapshots, seven annual recruitment/voluntary-outflow windows, source revisions and downloadable MOD research.
Standards that don't mislead

Why these tools are independent

Military recruitment is not a video-game high score. Different Armed Forces roles have different assessments, and published test formats change. Our free fitness and aptitude tools are designed to make a narrow comparison or practise an ordinary thinking skill—not issue a military recruitment decision or copy protected official exams.

The Army describes the official ACT (Verifier) as five computer-based tests; the RAF publishes its own DAA familiarisation covering six aptitude areas. Our practice problems are independently written and do not imitate an official scoring scale. The exercises and your answers remain in your browser during the session.

Our fitness calculators use transparent arithmetic and role-specific published references; they deliberately avoid generating a false 20m bleep-test distance from unverified audio protocols. The recruitment statistics explorer uses dated MoD public data, with caveats against treating applications as unique applicants or acceptance rates.

For official decisions, always follow current recruitment instructions and appropriate professional safety advice. Read our editorial and data verification policy.

Want to explore a military pathway?

Start with the Army, Navy, RAF or Royal Marines route comparison to establish which assessment actually applies, then use the appropriate tool. A soldier 2km run and an officer bleep-test requirement are not interchangeable.
