Who this preparation area is for
Prospective British Army officer candidates who want structured, relevant practice for the assessment stage in their official invitation.
What meaningful preparation should cover
Start with the Army's actual assessment outline
The official officer assessment page distinguishes Briefing from Main Board. It describes written work, group activity, fitness, interviews and planning exercises. Read the specific official instructions before spending money on coaching.
Practise structure rather than hidden questions
An independent exercise can help you check units, consider constraints and compare options. No independent provider should imply access to confidential assessment tasks or guarantee a pass.
Assess specialist support on its merits
A credible instructor should explain relevant qualifications, the form of feedback, session length, costs and cancellation terms. Project Selection has not yet appointed or verified an AOSB coaching provider.
Questions worth answering first
- Have you attended Briefing or been invited to Main Board?
- Are you primarily interested in planning, interview communication or general reasoning?
- Is there a published assessment date, and what have you already practised?
Before you pay for independent help
Confirm exactly what the provider delivers, who is qualified to deliver it, the feedback you'll receive and whether freely available official resources already cover your needs. No provider should imply that paying for preparation can guarantee military selection.
